Rosey Squire
About the Artist
Rosey is inspired by the landscapes, botanics and microscopic imagery she has encountered throughout her life.
Growing up in the red dirt of Western Australia and then transitioning to the city life of Melbourne, Rosey built her career in electron microscopy (taking pictures of very tiny things with a very big microscope).
From the city, Rosey moved to the often rugged Victorian surf coast. She lives by the beach with her husband and her dog, surfing and walking on the beach daily. Her love for this landscape and lifestyle pervades her work.
Working with watercolour, acrylic and ink, Rosey documents her view of the world through her work. Whether it is the symmetry she finds in a leaf or blooming flower, or the wonder she finds in her dog running through the waves, Rosey uses her art to share the beauty she finds with others.
